How can I place an order?


You can order online by filling the order form once you have selected the product(s) and/or services, using the CHECKOUT button you will find in the same page. After filling out all the necessary information, you will see the message ‘Order placed successfully’ on your screen.

In these last three cases you should send to ProAlt your purchase order including all necessary information for shipping and invoicing. In all cases you will receive an e-mail or fax from us confirming that your order was received.


What information is needed to process an order?


  • Catalog number(s), name of product(s), and quantity of each item
  • Institution/Company
  • Purchaser Name and Title/Position
  • Shipping and billing address
  • Contact Telephone and fax numbers
  • E-mail address
  • Purchase order number

How can I know if my order has been received?


In all cases we send a notification by e-mail or fax to the customer to confirm your order has been received, including product availability and estimated delivery time.


How do I make a payment?


Date of payment of Product/s and shipping charges will be 30 days after invoicing. Payment can be performed either by Bank Transfer to the bank account indicated in the document or by post, sending a certified mail with a check payable to Protein Alternatives SL to the following address:

Which courier service does ProAlt use?


ProAlt commonly use FedEx courier services for all international shipments and Nácex for local distribution (within Spain). Products with destination Japan are shipped using Nippon Express courier services.


What is ProAlt freight term?


The shipping costs are prepaid by ProAlt and charged to customers on the invoice. The freight term is ‘F.O.B. Destination, Freight Prepaid and Added’. This means that the initial shipping charges are to be paid by the seller but buyer bears the final costs; the seller owns goods in transit and is responsible for transit risks and final claims, in case of product damage during the shipping process. Buyer should assume all additional charges, local taxes, customs duty and procedures.


How does ProAlt ship the ordered products?


For international shipments products (Proteins and/or Antibodies) may be shipped on dry ice or as a lyophilized powder. Within Spain, the products may be shipped on dry ice, traditional wet ice or as lyophilized powder.


When do you ship the ordered products?


Domestic orders are shipped the next day* you place your order if received by 4pm (local time). All international orders are shipped on Mondays and Tuesdays only.


*NOTE: products in stock are shipped immediately. If not in stock, it will be shipped as soon as possible (about +7 to 10 working days).


What is the transit time?


All orders shipped within Spain are shipped via Nácex and usually deliver within 24hr.


All orders shipped to Europe and the United States are shipped via FedEx International Priority and usually deliver within 2-3 working days.


All orders shipped to another international destination are shipped via FedEx International Priority and usually arrive 2-4 days later depending on customs delays.


How can I know the status of an order/shipment?


Customer will receive a notification when the package is released for shipping. ProAlt will always provide you the FedEx or Nácex Tracking Number so that you can monitor the status of product delivery at any time.


What are your shipping charges?


  • 25 € for destinations within Madrid**
  • 35 € for destinations within Spain**
  • 75 € for all orders going to Europe_Zone_1** (Only: Germany, Italy, Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Sweden, France, Greece, Ireland, Luxemburg, Portugal, Netherlands, United Kingdom).
  • 220 – 270 € for other international destinations. Please confirm your shipping charge by e-mail: info@proteinalternatives.com

**Products shipped on dry ice have an additional charge of 30 €.


NOTE: The list prices are exempt from V.A.T, custom expenses, and other taxes of the country of destination, which will be assumed by the buyers.


Is possible that ProAlt develop antibodies with custom proteins?


Yes, you can provide us the protein of interest. ProAlt offer customized antibody development services. For more information, please refer to SERVICES section on our website.


How does PROALT ensure the quality of their products?


PROALT perform quality control tests for all the products on different applications.


Quality assessment for recombinant proteins is always performed by mass spectrometry, SDS-PAGE and Western Blot. Endotoxin Assay is performed when necessary. Proteins are regulated tested for ELISA, Western Blot, Antibody Production, and Protein array applications.


Antibodies are regularly tested for Western Blot assays and ELISA. ProAlt also test the some monoclonal antibodies for immunocytochemistry (IHC). As many of our customers have tested the antibodies for this purpose and obtained good results, which have been published on various journals, please contact us for technical additional information at info@proteinalternatives.com.


What are the storage conditions for proteins and antibodies?


Lyophilized protein: prior to reconstitution store at 2−8ºC. After reconstitution, store in working aliquots at −80ºC. Store the proteins delivered on dry ice at −80ºC. Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4ºC for up to one week.


Store antibodies supplied at 4ºC for short term (weeks) and -20ºC for long term. Avoid frequent freeze and thaw.
